Description:
SAE flange end ball valves, are two way ball valve that made suitable for SAE 3000 (ISO 6162-1) and SAE 6000 (ISO 6162-2) standards. It has extended male thread from the ball valve where SAE adapters are connected on both ends. Typically, SAE flange ball valves are used for hydraulic oil and gases application. The available materials for SAE flange ball valve, are steel and stainless steel, with an available rating of 210 Bars and 420 Bars. SAE flange are required to connect to the SAE adapter that placed on both ends of the SAE flange ball valves. Features:

SAE Flange Ball Valves Product Information

Specifications:
SAE flange ball valve is a two way ball valve with SAE adapter (metric/unc). The SAE adapter is connected to the extended thread at the both end of ball valve. SAE flange ball valve is used to control, restrict or shut off liquids or gases on the system line. It is also a quarter-turn type ball valve, that contains a floating ball.
It is suitable for general hydraulic oil and gases application. A special feature of this type ball valve is it was made to suit SAE 3000# (ISO 6162-1) and SAE 6000# (ISO 6162-2)
Material:
SAE flange ball valve are commonly made of materials, Steel (112A/1128) and Stainless Steel (442A/4428). You can find more information about these materials in the MHA Catalogue
It is important to know the type of applications, and working temperature for the ball valves, in order to identify the most suitable material for the ball valves parts, such as ball seat, and seal for stem and adaptor. For the Steel material, the temperature range from -20˚C to 100˚C. while the temperature for Stainless Steel material, range from -30˚C to 100˚C.

Size Range & Pressure Rating:
The available sizes for SAE flange ball valves range from 1/2" to 2". There are two different types of ball valve body design. For sizes 1/2" to 1", the ball valves are designed as BKH/BKHP type (with a square body). While for sizes ranged from 1 1/4" to 2", ball valves are designed as MKHP type (with a round or hexagon body).
For BKH and MKHP type, there are only two available working pressures, namely, 210 Bars (3000 PSI) and 420 Bars (6000 PSI).
SAE flange ball valve which is a special KH type flange ball valve. KH type SAE flange ball valve has SAE-connection-metric. With sizes ranging from 1/2" to 3", it has a totally different design from type BKH/BKHP and MKHP, with KH type on both ends, so one side of SAE flange (usually is o-ring side) will connect directly to it. KH type SAE flange ball valve, can be used for 210 Bars (3000 PSI) or 420 Bars (6000 PSI) and is available in dual working pressure.
Connection Type:
The connection of SAE flange ball valve is in accordance to ISO 6162-1 and ISO 6162-2, thus, SAE flange are required for connections. Typically, there are four types of connection for SAE flange: S/W (Socket Weld), B/W (Butt Weld), NPT (National Pipe Thread), and BSPP (British Standard Pipe Parallel).
