I’d like to thank you for taking the time to visit our "About Us" page. You have probably noticed other websites usually use this page to list all their accomplishments and how they guarantee this and warranty that, etc… and we are no different in that respect, but we saved it for the end.

I wanted to use these few paragraphs to tell you "About Us" and share my story. My name is Jackson Chua, and I have been working in the hardware and machinery industry for more than 45 years. For me, this field is not just an industry, it’s a passion. It was my vision to invest my insight, time, and energy to fill the hydraulics supplies gap in the marine industry.

I started Chuan Kok in 1982. I had to say “It wasn’t easy at all!”. I began promoting myself in Singapore… with very little luck. It took a year before I landed a major contract supplying valves and fittings to Far East Levingston Shipbuilding (FELS). Far East Levingston has since been renamed Keppel Fels.

I remember having to provide very specific technical help and make suggestions on how to improve their systems. Far East Levingston Shipbuilding commented on my work ethic and was so grateful that I provided technical expertise and did such a great job.

Since then, my determination to succeed in this field has only increased. Over the years, I became the leading supplier of hydraulics components, providing professional advice and quality products. And there’s nothing else I – and my team – would rather do than this.
